Summer festival in the park
The 21 ste of June the annual summer festival is held at the location the park is to be build. The festival is dedicated to the sun, bringer of the light that has caused the crops to bloom. The crops, consisting of ancient vegetables and cereals, are in good shape and the gods are asked to bless the crops and deliver a bountiful harvest come summers end.
09 - 2012:
Inauguration ceremony building site
The year 2012 is the start of the build. Of course an inauguration ceremony needs to be held, in the presence present day dignitaries who assist the Roman priest and Vestal virgins in the making of a proper sacrifice begging favor of the Roman goddess. The local populace is invited to share this festive moment and in the feast following it.
Spring 2013
Opening Park
In the spring of 2013 the park will open its gates for the first time. The opening ceremony will be impressive, just as the demonstrations which will held. Work is still in progress in several parts of the park, but the villa with its visitors-centre, the temple and most of the fortress for the soldiers that guard and maintain the Limes road. The Batavian village is still under construction, visitors can get a good view of how the Batavians build their houses. Children are invited to help smear daub on the frameworks of the different buildings. The bathhouse is a learning-by-working project and will just be starting.

The new bathhouse of the villa, reconstructed authenticly, will be blessed and fired up for the first time. The bathhouse is a learning-by-working project, the first of many.
